Not far from Pula is the first 100% glamping campsite in Croatia. The project brief said: ''something beautiful, natural and sustainable''. Today it is called ''Pomer paradise''.
Arena One 99 Glamping
On the former Pomer campsite area there are 199 new glamping units, an entrance area with a reception desk, a restaurant and a bar, 2 beach bars, an outdoor wellness area, a surf centre and tents for children. At the beginning of 2018, a landscape project was designed for the first phase of the camp renovation, covering almost 9,500 m2, and in June of the same year, the first guests began to arrive.
In the spring of 2018, a project was prepared for the remaining part of the camp, and landscaping work continued, spanning over 11,300 m2.

Landscape design and landscaping of the camp surroundings.

The main principles of designing the camp area were the preservation of landscape qualities, sustainability, nature and elegance. Within the camp, we wanted to achieve the most natural impression possible by using indigenous plant species and materials, while the entrance area emphasised the glamping character of the camp, through a combination of nature and elegance.
During the construction of drystone walls, stone embankments and stairs, only stone extracted during construction works in the area of the scope was used, which greatly contributed to the authenticity of the space and the sustainability of the project. In order to make the camp as sustainable as possible, the consumption of water for irrigation was reduced by not installing an automatic irrigation system on the areas planted with groundcover plants, in the shade of pine trees.
